Reliable Pipes & Tubes is a leading Stainless Steel ERW Pipe manufacturer in India and we produce and supply different grades, types and sizes of ERW pipes. Our product range includes the most widely used SS 304 ERW Pipe products as well as SS 316 ERW Pipe products. The ERW pipes are electric resistance welded from either strips or coils in a longitudinal direction to add strength to the pipe. There are different dimensions and standards of these pipes.
The ERW Schedule 40 Pipe is one of the medium range schedules that allows medium range pressure containment of the pipes. The schedules govern the wall thickness for different outer diameter sizes of the pipes. The ERW Stainless Steel Pipe can range from smaller sizes up to 24 inches outer diameter.
Our ERW SS Pipes are manufactured according to international standards and are tested for quality. We also supply ERW Stainless Steel Tube & Stainless Steel Electric Resistance Welding Pipes in other material grades than the 304 and 316 grades of stainless steel. These pipes are mostly used in water, oil and other low pressure transportation of liquids. The advantage is the strength along the length of the pipes. Our ERW SS Pipe Standard is in accordance with the ASTM A312 ERW international standards.

Electric resistance welding is a process of welding metal parts together by getting them to contact and heating them with electric current. This is one of the most widely used processes in making stainless steel pipes. In this method, the pipe is made from a strip of stainless steel material. The strip is curved into the pipe shape and the ends are touched where the electric current is passed to produce heat.
The both ends melt to form the joint. In case the strip used is defected, the contact might not be perfect when curving the strip to form the pipe. If the contact is not perfect, the pipe produced might have additional wall thickness as a result of improper alignment of the strip. Another possibility of defect strip usage is that it could leave space between joints where the ends do not touch each other properly and make a perfect contact.
These will result in a substandard pipe with enormous absolute roughness values and leakages. To avoid defect strips, the strips are stored and transported carefully prior to the electric resistance welding. The defects could also bring failure in strength, hardness and corrosion resistance calculations as well.
If you purchase SS 304/316 ERW pipes then buy from Stainless Steel Welded Pipe manufacturer in India so there will be no chance to get defect material because all the material are inspected & you also get Mill Test Certificate.

SS 304 ERW Pipe is widely used across numerous industries due to its combination of corrosion resistance, cost-effectiveness and excellent surface finish.
SS 304 ERW Pipe is a welded stainless steel pipe manufactured using the Electric Resistance Welding process. It is made from SS 304 grade austenitic stainless steel containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and a smooth surface finish.
ERW pipe is manufactured by welding flat steel strip into a tubular shape using electric resistance heating, while seamless pipe is extruded from a solid billet with no weld seam. ERW pipes are more cost-effective with consistent wall thickness, while seamless pipes are preferred for high-pressure applications.
SS 304 ERW Pipe conforms to ASTM A312, ASTM A249, ASTM A269, ASTM A270, ASTM A268, ASTM A358, and ASTM A213 standards depending on the application requirements.
Yes, the high-frequency electric resistance welding process creates a fusion bond that is as strong as the parent material. The weld zone undergoes induction heat treatment to ensure uniform mechanical properties throughout.
SS 304 ERW Pipe is used in food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical, architectural, automotive, HVAC, water treatment, oil & gas (low pressure) and general engineering industries.
SS 304 ERW Pipes are available from 1/8" to 36" NB, with OD ranging from 6.35 mm to 114.3 mm, wall thickness from 0.8 mm to 12.7 mm, and lengths up to 26 meters.
The price of SS 304 ERW Pipe in India ranges from US $6.00 to $30.00 per kg depending on the size, thickness, quantity and surface finish requirements. Contact Reliable Pipes & Tubes for the latest pricing.
Available surface finishes include 2B, No.1, No.4, No.8 Mirror Finish, Annealed and Pickled, Polished, Bright Annealed, Cold Drawn, and custom finishes as per customer requirements.
